Sutton | Booker is excited to welcome two new associates, Joseph Okon and Lily Nierenberg, to the firm!

Before moving to Colorado, Joe gained significant trial experience working at the Illinois Attorney General’s Office on civil rights litigation brought against employees and entities of the State of Illinois. Joe is experienced in litigating cases from pleadings through summary judgment and trial. Joe has tried federal civil rights cases to verdict in both the Central and Southern Districts of Illinois. Joe earned two bachelor degrees from Southern Illinois University and was a member of the collegiate football program. Thereafter, Joe earned his law degree from Southern Illinois University School of Law.

Lily’s experience includes insurance defense, premises liability, and litigating contract and employment disputes. Lily is experienced in all stages of litigation including investigation and early assessment of liability and damages, depositions, expert discovery, motions practice, mediation, trial and appeals. Prior to joining Sutton | Booker, P.C., Lily was an associate with a Denver firm that specialized in insurance defense and litigating complex technology disputes. While in law school, Lily competed on a national moot court team and was an editor on the Minnesota Journal of International Law.

Joe and Lily’s practices will focus on the defense of first- and third-party insurance claims, premises liability, and insurance bad faith.
