Ashna Basnet represents corporate clients, insureds, and insurance companies in the defense of a wide range of matters including premises liability, personal injury, and bad faith defense.

A Colorado native, Ashna obtained her bachelor’s degree from University of Colorado at Boulder before moving to Washington, DC, where she obtained an M.A. in Ethics, Peace, and Global Affairs from American University. While in DC, Ashna worked for several years at an NGO focused on human rights and the rule of law before returning to Colorado to earn her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. In law school, she developed a passion for litigation through moot court competitions and was an oralist in the Student Trial Lawyers Association and the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition.
Prior to joining Sutton | Booker | P.C., Ashna served as a judicial extern for The Honorable Brian Boatright, then Chief Justice of the Colorado Supreme Court, and and The Honorable Christopher Zenisek of the First Judicial District. She also served as a legal intern in the Securities and Exchange Commission Student Honors Program.
Outside of the office, Ashna enjoys yoga, baking, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
